Portrait chic is a series of sculptures inspired by the paintings of famous masters.  The meeting with artist Toru Hamada brought a turning point in the creations of Marie Serruya. Self-taught, the process of modeling, oil painting and enameling meticulously done with her grandmother's nail file, allowed her to develop her own techniques through these master paintings.
